System Administrator-Windows

As a Windows System Administrator, you will play an integral role in the support of our customer. You will focus on systems and application stability, security, performance, and capacity management, as well as documentation for classified and unclassified networks.
Position Requirements and Duties
- Provide laptop, desktop, and server troubleshooting to the NIWC Atlantic CSSP
- Maintain Enterprise Windows Server Infrastructure for the NIWC Atlantic CSSP
- Build and maintain NIWC Atlantic CSSP Windows Infrastructure inside of AWS GovCloud
- Build and maintain enterprise application deployments within MECM (formerly SCCM)
- Responsible for the sustainment of systems within an enterprise-class environment
- System installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, preventative maintenance, capacity planning, monitoring, and security procedures
- Configuration, troubleshooting, and restoration of Windows network connectivity across virtualized network connections, local area connections, wide-area connections, firewalls, and virtual private networks, with understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network segmentation and boundaries.
- Diagnosing performance and availability issues with infrastructure monitoring tools such as System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Nagios, SolarWinds Server Monitor tools, etc.
Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with Windows desktop and server operating systems such as: Active Directory forests, domains, group policy management, OU/security group/user/computer object administration, Sites and Services, and domain name services (DNS).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience Virtualization and hypervisor management including creation of virtual machines and configuration of their compute, storage, and network settings, with VMware vSphere 6.x or later, or Hyper-V.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Desktop Administrator.

- Prior STIG or other security baseline config experience
- Networking knowledge
- SIPR Experience
- Minor Linux knowledge
- AWS Experience
- PKI Experience
- PowerShell, Batch, VBS scripting
- Atlassian Confluence and Jira Experience
Certifications
- DoD 8570 IAT II &CNDSP Infrastructure Support Compliance
