About the Role:
As a Life Coach (1099 Contractor), you will:
- Conduct initial assessments to understand the unique needs, goals, and challenges of both Adapt members and your own private clients.
- Develop and implement personalized coaching plans that integrate life coaching and therapeutic strategies tailored to each individual.
- Facilitate individual coaching sessions to help members and clients overcome obstacles, develop coping mechanisms, and cultivate emotional resilience.
- Utilize active listening, empathy, and positive reinforcement to build rapport and empower both members and clients on their journey towards self-actualization.
- Collaborate with the broader Adapt team, including physical therapists and other wellness practitioners, to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to member care.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all ethical and professional guidelines.
Important Note:
- You are welcome to maintain a private practice and see your own clients at Adapt's facilities, provided they are not in direct conflict with Adapt's services and clientele.
- You are responsible for managing your own client schedule, intake process, and billing practices for your private practice. Adapt’s Member Service Manager will be available to assist with administrative duties as needed.
- Adapt will provide a dedicated office space for you to utilize with both Adapt members and your private clients.
Qualifications:
- Certified Life Coach or equivalent credential in a related field (e.g., Mental Health Counseling, Social Work) with a demonstrated ability to blend therapeutic approaches into coaching sessions.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing individual coaching or therapy services, preferably with a focus on individuals living with neurological conditions.
- Strong understanding of human behavior, emotional intelligence, and motivational techniques.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport and create a safe and supportive environment for clients.
- Commitment to ethical practice and professional boundaries.
- Familiarity with holistic wellness practices is a plus.

Please note that this is a 1099 Contractor position. As such, you will be responsible for your own taxes and self-employment related costs.
