CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

ADB is seeking a Laborer I to join our wireline team and provide basic level manual laborer. This position will assist in
the installation of fiber optic cable for various telecommunication projects. This is an ideal position for someone
looking to start their career in the utility construction industry. ADB will provide all the necessary tools and training to
learn the trade with an extensive amount of growth and development opportunity. ADB is known in the industry for

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides basic level laborer functions including hand digging with a shovel, setting up traffic control, learning equipment operations, placing fiber, loading materials, etc. on various safety sensitive utility construction sites
- Supports the setup and shut down of utility construction projects including traffic control in various conditions including highways, side streets, parking lots, downtown locations, etc.
- Safety is the expectation, always follows the required safety practices while performing safety sensitive duties
- Trains alongside experience construction crews learning fiber installation, print reading, equipment operations, OSHA requirements, etc.
- Loads and unloads materials and equipment in from vehicles at construction yards and jobsites
- Assists in identifying hazards by utilizing the pre-task process
- Performs other position duties when requested

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing, etc.
- May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while onsite
- Regular exposure to all weather conditions including hot, humid, cold, rain, snow, ice, etc.
- When working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel toed boots.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- 1 year of experience doing manual physical laborer in an outdoor setting required
- Valid driver license with a clean driving record required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
