To enforce our Service team in our office in Italy, we are currently looking for a Service Engineer who is willing to contribute in the growth of our service business.
Role:
A polyvalent engineer with strong technical knowledge and the proper attitude to perform interventions in the challenging world of airports.
Responsibilities
The Service Engineer delivers technical expertise to airports across Europe in a high variety if situations:
- Under the scope of Service Level Agreements, you are responsible for preventive maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting on our equipment and control systems at the Airport.
- As a key player in airport construction project, you perform test and commissioning activities on small and large installations.
- You share your knowledge by occasionally training customers or other internal colleagues.
- To guarantee continuous improvement, you work closely with various internal departments to whom you report your experience from the field, both from a technical and commercial point of view.
- Work in a team of service engineers
The products served by ADB Safegate comprise airfield lighting, visual docking guidance systems and their associated computerized control systems, requiring a solid rang of technical knowledge.
Qualifications
Technical and language skills
- Masters degree in industrial engineering or bachelors degree in electrical engineering (EE) or Associate in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), equivalent degree, or equivalent through experience.
- Good affinity with electrical systems (low voltage), commissioning tools and troubleshooting procedures.
- Basic IT programming and / or automatization knowledge
- Italian speaking and good knowledge of English. An additional language is a plus
- Good knowledge on MS Office packages
Nice to have:
- Experience in the technical sector of airports is a plus.
- Knowledge of automation packages such as Win CC or similar.
- Experience in networking or cyber security.
Other personal skills:
- Min. 1 to 2 years of relevant experience, or a young potential with proven skills.
- Autonomous in the preparation and planning of your interventions.
- Able to work under the constraints and pressure associated with the airport environment.
- You demonstrate decisiveness in resolving technical problems, making decisions and identifying priorities in an often-challenging environment.
- You are a team player, with open mind and a positive attitude to move into new challenges. You seek support from your colleagues when facing obstacles in the same way as you support them when needed.
Job specificities
- Your primary terrain of intervention is on Rome Fiumicino Airport, but some of your missions can also be on other airports in Italy and in Europe.
- Due to the nature of the business, you will occasionally perform night shifts and participate in stand-by duties, for which you are eligible for extra pay.
