Small residential primary mental health and substance abuse facility. Low pressure very family oriented. Primary scope is vitals, medication management, assisting MD and NP, Following Detox protocols and daily charting.
POSITION SUMMARY
Nurses perform a wide variety of job duties during their shifts, caring for and educating patients about theirconditions, as well as establishing trust and building rapport with patients. The nurse is responsible for being part of the medical team as well as helping to facilitate the flow of the Medical Department and Medication Administration Program.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to administer prescribed medication and medical treatments andfollowing standard nursing procedures Ability to monitor physical and/or mental conditions of patients/clients
Ability to maintain effective communication with patients, families, and members of the health care staff
Ability to provide documentation, prepare reports and maintain patient/client records, including computerskills necessary for documentation
Reports symptoms, reactions and progress of patient to the clinical supervisor and/or charge nurse andappropriate action has been taken
Initiates changes to improve patient care; discusses changes with doctor when appropriate
Ability to participate in defining, interpreting, and implementing standards, policies, and procedureswhich affect the delivery of nursing care services
Ability to participate in regular in-services/training

Completion of an accredited Nursing program.
Current and ValidState Nursinglicense.
Current CPR certification.
Must be able to document nursing interventions and responses to care. Do so in anaccurate, legible, and intelligible manner. Must adhere to agency's non-discrimination policies.
Ability to effectively interact with co-workers and clients with diverse ethnic backgrounds, religious views,political affiliation, cultural backgrounds, lifestyles, and sexual orientations and treat each individual with respect and dignity.
Must be able to demonstrate competency in all competencyassessments and attend all In- services. Must comply with all State and Organizational CEU requirements
PC literate and demonstrate proficiency in Windows, word processing software, (Word, Excel, Google Drive)
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge of nursing theory and practice.

Be self-motivated and demonstrate initiative while working with minimal supervision.
Able to follow instructions and take direction from multiple sources with changing priorities.
Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to file/retrieve data and to assemble requested documentation
Ability to handle and direct telephone calls in emergency situations, i.e., calls from any State or Countygoverned Department must be dealt with professionally and with urgency.
Knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
Knowledge of chemical dependency and treatment methods.
Application of knowledge in nutrition, sanitation, and personal hygiene.
Ability to follow verbal and written directions and toapply techniques for specific needs. Knowledge of community resources.
Knowledge of de-escalation methods or ability to betrained in de-escalation methods. Sufficient manual dexterity and physical ability to perform assigned tasks.
Ability to work in an environment wherepeople may be hostile or abusive. Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
Ability to maintain accuraterecords and necessarypaperwork. Ability to learn and apply training instruction.
Knowledge of medicalassessment with intoxicatedpersons. Ability to be trained in Understanding SUD
Administer medications and treatments as directed by the standingorders and/or by onsite physician. Observe and record pertinent information with regard to the care and condition of patients.
Give and receive report at shift changes.
Consult with other health team members to lend guidance as necessary.
Day Shift: 8am-4pm
Location is in Moorsville , IN Close to Marion/ Morgan County Line

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
