Medical Biller & Collector - Full Cycle
Location: Elmhurst, IL
Hours: M-F Day Shift Flex Start, 40 hours/week
Salary: $20-$24/hour
Job Responsibilities
- Perform full cycle medical billing for multispecialty physician and hospital services
- Medical Biller & Collectors create, submit, and process government, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance claims
- Medical Biller & Collectors follow up on insurance claim status, resolve denials/rejections, submit re-bills, re-submit claims, and file appeals
- Medical Biller & Collectors collect on insurance and patient outstanding balances
- Medical Biller & Collectors establish payment plans, accept payment, and work aging reports
- Medical Biller & Collectors post insurance and patient payments (cash, check, credit card, Explanation of Benefits, EOB, EFT, lock box)
- Medical Biller & Collectors manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Medical Biller & Collectors obtain insurance verification, precertification, and authorization via phone and insurance payer portals
- Medical Biller & Collectors update patient accounts with registration, insurance, demographic, scheduling, and billing data
- Medical Biller & Collectors provide superior high volume patient customer service in a fast paced environment
- Medical Biller & Collectors use Microsoft Office Word/Excel/Outlook, medical software, payer portals, and type 40 WPM
