Under the direction of the Director of Golf Course Maintenance, the candidate manages all phases of golf course maintenance on 27 holes of golf.

Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree or Associates's degree in Agronomy or Horticulture plus a minimum of three years of related experience or any equivalent combination of related training and experience. Previous club experience is preferred. Must have a valid Florida driver’s license, and a good driving record.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans and schedules the department’s work, processes, and procedures. It is imperative to consider feedback from the Assistant Superintendant when coordinating the activities of Golf Course Maintenance personnel.
- Provide direction to the Assistant Superintendant as needed or required.
- Trains, instructs, and directs Golf Course Maintenance personnel and performs checks of processes throughout the job.
- Supervises the employees to ensure proper usage of all golf course maintenance equipment.
- Assist Director in hiring, coaching, disciplining, evaluating, and terminating maintenance personnel.
- Responsible for the safe operation, storage, and effective use of all equipment.
- Responsible for the proper use, storage, and preservation of all associated materials, supplies, and assigned equipment.
- Monitor the performance of the irrigation system, including daily setup and making adjustments as necessary according to the weather.
- Oversee fertilizer and pesticide applications.
- Assist Director in ordering supplies as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of chemical and fertilizer applications, daily log of rainfall, and irrigation usage.
- Supervises pesticide applications and/or operates and calibrates pesticide application equipment
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
- Communicate with the department Director and keep the Director apprised of all present or potential problems and issues.
- Ensures the quality of work performed by staff and vendors is in accordance with Addison Reserve's quality standards.
- Conduct employee evaluations and corrective discipline.
- Ensure that employees are using all appropriate safety measures and equipment.
- Perform maintenance work as required.
- Advises Director of course conditions.
- Oversees cleanup and storage of tools and equipment at the end of the shift.
- Fills in for the Director and the technicians when needed.
- Communicate with members, coworkers, management, staff, the general public, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
- Respond promptly when returning telephone calls and replying to correspondence and faxes.
- Act, dress, and behave in a professional manner to reflect a positive image of Addison Reserve Country Club.

- Requires knowledge of agronomy and related practices.
- Requires knowledge of the game of golf.
- Requires knowledge of construction, establishment, and maintenance of a golf course.
- Requires knowledge of landscape construction and materials.

- Must be able to multi-task and think quickly.
- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing.
