Training Consultants for Addison Solutions are Independent Contractors who work on an assignment/project basis and are self-employed. Are you an independent and energetic self-starter who enjoys presenting to groups and is seeking variety and flexibility in your career? Then a role as a Training Facilitator for Addison Solutions may be a terrific fit for you. Due to current economic conditions, we offer remote work as well.
Note: As part of the job application process, all candidates will be required to submit a sample training video to demonstrate their presentation skills by the close of this application. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Plan for workshops by evaluating trainer materials provided by Addison Solutions Academy.
· Make recommendations to project managers regarding the overall participant learning experience.
· Assist with program administration (i.e., evaluations, participant attendance forms, workshop completion packets).
· Provides wide-ranging knowledge of current best practices and training methods
· Conducts classroom administration (set-up/break down; circulates attendance roster)
· Travels, as needed, to deliver training
· Engages students in the workshop material positively and professionally that facilitates participant learning
· Utilizes theories of adult learning to all workshops
· Presents information and responds to questions from various groups.
· Understands a variety of instructions supplied in written, oral, or scheduled form.
· Facilitates learning via classroom instruction, webinars, virtual, and blended learning
· Integrates a variety of presentation methods and applications to adjust to the various adult learning techniques
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Adult Learning, Organizational Development or other related fields required; Master's degree preferred
· Three to five years of experience as a Facilitator/Trainer in a formal traditional or virtual training environment with the ability to transfer job-related knowledge
· Experienced in motivating participants and engaging a variety of learning techniques
· Strong oral and verbal communications
· Experience utilizing zoom platform and breakout rooms
Job Requirements:
· Must have access to zoom
· Must submit proof of professional and workers compensation insurance
· Must have A cell phone, a computer, and work email.
If you are located within the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia area, you may provide in-person training once pandemic restrictions are lifted.
Advantages

Disadvantages:
There is no question that independent contracts benefit from the flexibility and high control over their work assignments. However, some disadvantages exist for independent contractors, which include:
· Independent Contractors are not permitted to provide training services in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia that may be competitive with Addison Solutions.
· Independent Contractor shall not be entitled to Addison Solutions', including, but not limited to, coverage under medical, dental, retirement, or other plans. Client shall not be obligated to pay worker's compensation insurance, unemployment compensation, social security tax, withholding tax, or other taxes or withholdings for or on behalf of the Independent Contractor in connection with the Services' performance under this Agreement. The Independent Contractor will be issued a Form 1099 rather than a W-2 form.
· Independent Contractors are not classified as employees of the company.
· Contractors are compensated for training delivery and will not be reimbursed for any expenses.
· Contractors are not compensated for any time to plan or prepare for workshops.
