Position: Bookkeeper
Location: Syracuse (Liverpool), NY (Fully in Office)
Salary: $45k – $55k Performance based bonus
Growing boutique Accounting & Tax services firm seeks new tech savvy Bookkeeper to join their team
Responsibilities:
- Produce monthly books for small business clients (outsourced books).
- Support payroll functions & processing for clients as needed
- Do year-end closing entries and balance books to statements
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Preparation and adjustment of journal entries
- Prepare year end 1099 & sales tax return and relation filing instructions for clients
- Prepare IRS & state payroll tax documents
- Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Maintain monthly flow sheets
- Review time & transaction reports for client accounts
- Correspond with clients in a timely & professional manner
- Preparation of miscellaneous reports & duties as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Strong Microsoft Excel Skills.
Positive attitude with desire to learn in mentoring environment.
Experience with accounting functions and/or bookkeeping duties a plus.
Belief in “small business” ideals.
Salary : $45,000 - $55,000
