Technical Writer Credit Union
Contract (temporary) technical writer for credit union in the Los Angeles Area with over $1 billion in assets.
Start date: Approximately July 1st, 2022 for a 2 month or more assignment.
Hourly pay: $35 to $40 an hour (cannot pay over $40 an hour)
For ultimate Project success, this individual must have critical thinking skills, expertise in technical writing, and is detailed-oriented, for the review and understanding of formal Bylaws, Policies, Processes, and Procedures.
The Technical Writer must be able to organize, codify, cross-reference, and categorize these formal documents into readable and understandable formats, with cross-reference searches for historical purposes.
The Technical Writer must have the technical expertise needed to write various types of documentation for a wide audience and have the experience of working with a variety of documentation styles, formats, and with cross-reference searches for historical purposes.
This individual must be able to compile detailed and complex information, while simultaneously working with others on the team, and those with oversight authority of this project.
On-site or possible remote for candidates with exceptional technical writing and work experience skills related to this role, who will agree to, and successfully pass, a background check, sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement, and meet the requirements of this RFQ, will be considered.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's or advanced degree, in technical writing, or related technical.
3-5 years of technical writing experience, preferably, for nonprofit organizations or private businesses as it relates to writing governing.
Must be a proficient user of Microsoft Word (including styles and templates), Adobe Acrobat Pro, Excel, and editing.
Ability to review and understand written paragraphs in formal Bylaws, Policies, Processes, and Procedures, and organize, cross-reference, and categorize such information into individual and readable formats, and for cross-reference each for historical research.
The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
