Interns will work directly with members of the Colorado-based team on ongoing development projects, gaining hands-on exposure to the lifecycle of wind farms and renewable development in the North American Renewables Market. Responsibilities:
- Present a final project to the Development Team related to renewable energy efforts, showcasing research and collaboration with Steelhead colleagues.
- Rotate through weekly focus areas such as land acquisition, public engagement, environmental affairs, and engineering to gain hands-on experience.
- Assist the Development Team in communicating and negotiating with external stakeholders for permitting processes.
- Support land acquisition campaigns by identifying landowners, initiating contact, and negotiating contracts.
- Engage in communications with landowners regarding project updates and developments.
- Develop relationships and communication with various departments within the company.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate/graduate degree or pursuing studies in fields such as Environmental Science, Energy, Engineering, Political Sciences, Economics, Business, and others.
- Previous employment experience in areas related to renewable energy, environmental policy, community engagement, law, sustainability, or research.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Willingness to work from the Downtown Denver Office four days a week, with occasional travel opportunities.
