Social Work - Grant

JOB SUMMARY:
This part time position is under a grant. The Coordinator will have responsibility for planning and coordinating the Project's extensive training activities, including all learning collaboratives, learning communities, workshops, and webinars (many of which will occur simultaneously). The Coordinator will also provide training on the assessment and treatment of traumatized youth, and will work closely with the Project Evaluator and all training sites to ensure that data collection targets are being met.

REPORTS TO: Director of the Institute for Adolescent Trauma Treatment & Training

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Planning, coordinating, and providing trauma trainings for mental health professionals, throughout all phases of training (e.g. assisting in the development of content, providing training materials to participants locally and nationally, including delivery of materials, scheduling training dates, managing technical logistics of web-based training).
Coordinating Project activities with collaborating NCTSN Centers and the National Center for Child Traumatic Stress (NCCTS).
Managing evaluation efforts to measure progress towards Project goals and objectives, including:
assisting in the design of evaluation protocols and instruments for collection of quantitative and qualitative data. Work closely with Project Directors to ensure that evaluation protocols match the needs and operations of the program and are implemented in a consistent and effective manner.
designing surveys and fidelity instruments to evaluate effectiveness of program implementation, processes and outcomes
Collect data from learning collaboratives and other trainings, including the number of mental health professionals trained as a result of Project activities.
maintaining databases used to track Project activities
prepare evaluation summaries for Project Directors and prepare reports of performance monitoring activities, including completion of quarterly and annual NCTSN and federal progress reports
Coordinating and managing product development, including products (e.g., factsheets, webinars) for the Project website.
Working with Project Directors and Adelphi web-team to prepare content for webpages on the Adelphi website.
Establishing linkages and maintain regular contact with other NCTSN programs.
Oversee planning and coordination of local and regional conferences, including Continuing Education events.
Assisting in coordinating the activities of the Project Assistant, including task supervision of the Project Assistant.

REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Exceptionally organized, with a very strong attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a range of professionals, including social workers, psychologists, community agency administrators, grant program officers.
Knowledge of evidence-based trauma interventions preferred.
Ability to manage time in a fast-paced environment, and to work on developing, implementing, and tracking multiple trainings simultaneously.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, including the ability to create detailed presentations.
The ability to manage Zoom or similar web-based platforms (e.g. create meetings, download analytics).
The ability to develop web-based survey programs (e.g., Survey Monkey).
Ability to manage computer databases which will be used to track goals and objectives.

Physical requirements :
Shipping of training materials may require lifting of boxes that weigh up to 30 pounds.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree required.
Master's degree in Social Work or Psychology (preferred). Applicants who do not have a related degree but do have a strong interest in child mental health and possess exceptionally strong organizational, interpersonal skills, and technology/computer skills may also be considered.
Experience providing instruction/training/supervision to professionals (preferably mental health professional) or graduate students
Experience coordinating large-scale trainings preferred.
Clinical experience with children or adolescents preferred.
