Payroll coordinator

Adepto Technical Recruitment is seeking a results-oriented and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Workday Payroll Coordinator.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and coordinating all aspects of the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.

As a Workday Payroll Coordinator, you will collaborate with various teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, resolve any payroll-related issues, and maintain employee payroll records.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all payroll data
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to obtain necessary payroll information
• Validate and reconcile payroll data, including payroll registers, reports, and general ledger entries
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations pertaining to payroll processing
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll calculations, deductions, and withholdings
• Liaise with external vendors to resolve payroll system issues or implement system enhancements
• Assist with the preparation of payroll-related reports, such as tax filings and wage garnishments
• Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations and taxation laws to ensure compliance
• Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify and rectify any discrepancies
• Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of employee records and payroll data
• Assist with other HR-related tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably using Workday
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, taxation laws, and payroll best practices
• Proficiency in using payroll systems and software, such as Workday or ADP
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently
• High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience with international payroll processing is a plus
