Within Finance we act as a trusted business partner protecting, creating, and driving sustainable stakeholder value through one innovative team, while creating a controlled and protected environment with accurate and timely financial information safeguarding the company with integrity with robust compliance and controls.
The Finance Operations team supports the finance operations across the organisation in identifying improvement opportunities, works with stakeholders to develop business cases and implementation of plans and acts as escalation point of contact for the BPO.
Job Description
Build and manage a high performing team
Act as an escalation point of contact for the BPO, covering a global scope
Build and maintain a senior stakeholder network across the Adevinta organisation
Develop and implement a continuous improvement strategy, approach and framework for Finance Operations
Monitor Finance Operations customers’ needs to amend service levels accordingly
Identify and mitigate risks to finance operations performance
Articulate improvement opportunities and obtain approval for implementation
Liaise with BPO management team when reviewing performance e.g. SLAs, KPIs, billing and monthly costings
Contribute to company financial strategy and decision-making processes
Develop a service and performance oriented culture
Train and educate company management
Qualifications
Significant finance experience
ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent) qualified accountant
Experience working with a large, global finance team or professional services firm
Proven continuous improvement and change management experience in a finance and technology environment
Proven track record dealing with outsourcing arrangements, third party and/or vendor management
Strong working knowledge of SAP S4 and OneStream capabilities
Global operations background in a process driven role with exposure to centralised finance processes
Some transformation / process improvement experience
Proven success in influencing strategic business decisions & driving significant improvements to business performance
Excellent team leadership and communication skills with the ability to challenge & collaborate
Significant people management experience
Specific industry knowledge in technology & online business retail
Strong relationship management skills with ability to communicate with various internal and external stakeholders
Fluent English is essential, while additional languages are an advantage (French and Spanish in particular)
