NACE Coating Inspector Level III (Contract)

Position: NACE Industrial Coating Inspector (Contract)
Duration: May 20, 2024-June 22, 2024
Pay: $50.00 per hour & will pay mileage or travel expenses. Per Diem is $147/day (7 days per week)

Industrial Coatings Inspector

The Coating Inspector shall inspect all coating and painting activities in accordance with project standards and specifications.

General Expectations and Responsibilities

• Inspection of all coating activities and surface preparation.
• Perform appropriate in-process inspections.
• Checking and evaluating coatings in accordance with specific procedures.
• Document inspection activities on appropriate route sheets.
• Update inspection progress in the system.
• Complete Daily Monitoring Reports.
• Interpretation of specifications and standards applicable to contracts.
• Report all non-conformities to the QA/QC Manager and complete NCR’s when required.
• Prepare and sign Coating Inspection Reports.
• Detect non-compliant products.
• Interpret project specific quality standards.
• Strict adherence to company and job specifications.
• Ability to use coating specific measuring tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications and computer systems.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work autonomously and respect rules of confidentiality.
• All other related tasks.

Education, Training, or Work Experience

• High School Diploma or High School Equivalency.
• Familiarity with AMPP (certification preferred) and SSPC standards.
• Experience in industrial coating inspection.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand/walk for 10 hours at a time.
• Ability to bend, squat, and kneel for varying lengths of time.
• Ability to fully articulate shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist.
• Must be able to grasp and safely operate hand and power tools.
• Must be able to occasionally push, pull, lift, pull, or carry up to 75lbs.
• Must be able to work in various conditions (loud, hot, dusty, cold, etc.).

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Overtime
