Senior Manager of Global Architecture
Job Summary: The Senior Manager of Global Architecture is responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of complex software solutions that meet the needs of the organization. They must have a deep understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and architecture review boards (ARBs) to ensure that all solutions are designed to meet organizational standards, policies, and guidelines. The Senior Manager of Global Architecture will work closely with global business stakeholders, developers, and project managers to ensure that all solutions align with business goals and meet end-user requirements.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the organization's business processes, goals, and objectives.
Design software solutions that meet the organization's requirements, taking into account existing systems, technical constraints, and industry best practices.
Work with business stakeholders, developers, and project managers to ensure that software solutions align with business goals and meet end-user requirements.
Lead architecture review boards to ensure that all software solutions are designed to meet organizational standards, policies, and guidelines.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure that all solutions integrate seamlessly with existing systems and infrastructure.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, implementation plans, and architecture diagrams.
Lead and mentor other architects and developers, providing guidance and expertise in software design and implementation.
Deep domain expertise in cloud infrastructure solutions (i.e. Windows and Linux IaaS, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, Security, Management, Storage, Networking, OSS, containers, and Infrastructure as code technology), breadth of technical experience, and technical aptitude to learn and adjust to new technologies and cloud trends required.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to ensure that all solutions are designed using the latest and most effective tools and techniques.
Education:
- Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
Experience:
- 10 years (Required)
- Experience with automated Continuous Integration/Delivery
- Experience with automation/configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, and PowerShell
