Title: Social Worker – LSCW Inpatient (Days)
Client: Sun Behavioral Health, Kentucky
Location: 820 Dolwick Drive, Erlanger, KY 41018
Duration: 13 weeks Contract with a potential of extension
Job Description:
- SUN Behavioral Health is a 197-bed psychiatric hospital in Erlanger, KY, 10 minutes south of Cincinnati, OH. The hospital was developed in partnership with St. Elizabeth Healthcare, the leading hospital system in northern Kentucky.
- The facility provides a full continuum of specialized care, including inpatient and day hospital services, for children, adolescents, adults and seniors suffering from mental health illness and substance use disorders
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for comprehensive assessment of persons whose lives are disrupted or complicated by mental illness, behavioral disturbances, substance abuse issues or inability to function or maintain in the community.
- Assists law enforcement, family members and others with the admission process, both voluntary and emergency detentions.
- Makes referrals to community resources as appropriate.
- Assigns persons in need of treatment to the appropriate outpatient program and coordinates inpatient admissions through the medical staff.
- The Therapist is expected to function as a member of the multidisciplinary team and participate in the organization’s community relations program.
- Participates in continuous quality improvement activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Mental Health or relevant
- CPR Certification
- CPI Certification
