Position Summary: This position is responsible for the safe operation of a yard spotter truck. Spotter is responsible for ensure safe and proper operation of a yard dog truck while ensuring accuracy identifying trailers to spot into warehouse doors.Job Responsibilities: Spot trailers into warehouse doorsRelease trailers from warehouse doorsStage trailers in proper area of warehouse groundsAbility to work extended hours, evenings, weekends and HolidaysMust have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and proceduresConducts physical inventories of trailers and maintains accuracy of the processReport all injuries, illnesses, near misses, damage or other issues timelyCoordinates proper yard management with outside trucking companies and scale clerkAssist warehouse staff for the purpose of maintaining an organized layout and safe work environmentJob Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent is preferredYard spotter truck, Class A, or Class B experience is preferredActively participate in all company required Safety, Environmental, and Quality Assurance programsPromote the Company Way and core ValuesAbility to work well independently as well as part of a teamUnderstand written procedures and write routine documentsStrong reading skillsStrong attention to detailStrong leadership skills
