Description
STS Group is a globally leading supplier of components and systems for the commercial vehicle and automotive industries headquartered in France.
The Adler Pelzer Group, a global Tier 1 supplier recently acquired STS group to expand its target market. STS is pioneering operations of Class A surface components for the heavy trucks in the USA.
We are seeking an experienced EHS Coordinator to support the opening of the brand-new STS facility near Salem, Virginia in the Roanoke, VA area.
The EHS Coordinator will ensure compliance with regulation and company commitments to the safety and health of employees and best practices in the prevention of adverse environmental impacts, under the Company Guidelines.
He or she is also responsible for developing programs to ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations, completion of required EHS training, acts as primary liaison between third party auditors, governmental organizations, internal auditors, and management.
The EHS Coordinator provides direction and coaching to all functional Engineer in the plant in the improvement of environmental, health, and safety metrics.

Salary range is between $45,000 - $60,000 (Salary is based on experience and education)

2 years :
Extensive knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, the OSHA Standards and DOT / IATA regulations. This includes the areas of air, water and waste management, occupational health and safety
3 years :
Experience with completion and submission of required environmental compliance reporting
3 years :
Working knowledge of OSHA standards
3 years :
Direct experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental role
