The Opportunity

The Principal Project Manager's focus is to work directly with our largest and most challenging customer relationships and services programs across multiple verticals. Principal Program Director will drive customer's enterprise solution development and implementations by means of the Adobe Experience Cloud.

The PM partners with Adobe's customers to understand their priorities and objectives and lead amulti-disciplined deliveryteamfromAdobe to design, implement and scale the solutionsto drivevalue for the customer across the intersection of people, process and technology. PMs will work at multiple levels with the Adobe team, including Project Managers, Sales, Finance, Engineering and Systems Integrator Partners. You will evaluate the proposed solution, assess and manage risks, plan the program-wide implementation, support the program delivery, and manage it's overall success. You will oversee delivery and acceptance of the program scope as defined in one or many statement(s) of work using our consulting methodology including program tasks, deliverables, milestones, and resources, all the time coordinating with project managers and delivery teams as needed. You will ensure successful customer outcomes based on program defined objectives. You will govern overall standards across the program teams to achieve these results. The PM is the senior-most delivery leader and "owns the consulting business" for that engagement. Project Managers are accountable for the successful execution of servicesprograms, acting as a primary point of accountability for the customer, and building relationships with both customer stakeholders and internal teams.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities:

  • Act as Lead Consultant on large, complex customer engagements that may involve multiple project managers and teams from Adobe, Client, or partner organizations

  • Strong executive presence, including ability to partner with and effectively influence client managers, directors, VPs, and CXOs

  • Clearly understand and communicate customer requirements and integration points in the context of the statement of work and support mutual understanding of Adobe's unique and transformational business capabilities and evangelize how those capabilities create long-term value for the customer across various customer business units & organizations

  • Oversee program delivery process with key contributors to help manage scope and prepare change requests, including tasks, deliverables, milestones, resources, and estimated costs.

  • Creative problem-solving skills, including the ability to understand the impact of technical & process changes and to articulate high-level technical solutions to address business problems

  • Build and leverage relationships within Adobe to solve very complex customer problems, including working with product teams to enhance solutions.

  • Accountable for all foundational activities of the program from inception to closure including solid governance, communication and change management with customer teams and internal Adobe teams

  • Lead regular communication with both the customer and internal teams, and tie back our execution to customer expectations.

  • Achieve customer satisfaction through successful delivery of defined program scope successful realization of key business objectives and metrics.

  • Accountable for collating customer requests and deployment issues, and feedback into core products channel.

  • Support work tracks that may involve third-party subcontractors and technology partners as required.

  • Act as the central client point of contact throughout the life of the program, including supporting sales in change control support for scope changes, and onboarding of Project Managers and technical teams for new work tracks or projects.

  • Facilitate capturing and communicate experiences in formal post-mortem, feeding lessons learned, best practices and resources back into the consulting practice.

  • Provide oversight for services engagements to ensure adherence to governance standards and support customer success by means of Adobe Consulting's tools and processes

  • Accountable for escalation leadership across Adobe including sales, services, and product organizations.

  • Partner with our Sales organization to strategize new consulting opportunities or grow a defined account based on current engagement.

  • Elevate and encourage your team through caring, effective leadership

  • Apply Adobe's Service Governance and Delivery Methodology, apprentice others in the methodology and drive practice and process improvements.

What You Need to Succeed

Requirements:

  • 10 to 15 years of experience leading projects in a consulting and/or technology professional services organization, including delivering enterprise-scale implementations

  • Innovative thinker.

  • Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams identifying issues, solve them quickly and well, and rely on internal resources to assist, when needed.

  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

  • Professional demeanor, ability to interact with and lead diverse teams throughout Adobe, and communicating with client managers, directors, and VPs including CXOs.

  • Superb organizational skills to be able to coordinate complicated programs with multiple projects at a business or solution level.

  • Exceptional team building and team management skills, with proven experience managing virtual and dispersed teams.

  • Prior experience with the launch and operation of a highly available, high traffic internet or mobile service.

  • Proven ability to understand the impact of technical changes, and to articulate high level technical solutions to address business problems as well as guide business and technical teams to solve complex project challenges.

  • Solid understanding of custom software development processes and engagement methodologies. Practical experience in managing Agile development projects.

  • Familiarity with the following languages and technologies: HTML, HTML5, XML, Java, WCM, Web analytics, content targeting

  • Solid understanding of and experience with one or more of the following: Web Content Management, Rich internet applications, Web & Social Analytics, online ad targeting and content personalization.

  • Ability to manage yourself and others in an environment of ambiguity with diverse stakeholders both internal and external.

  • Ability to build strong relationships and generate opportunities for repeat business.

  • Proven ability to support practice and program development within a Consulting organization.

  • Proven experience managing off-shore teams.

  • Willingness to travel up to 60%

Desired

  • MBA

  • Experience as a consulting manager in a top-tiermanagementconsulting firmOR as an accountable and practitioner manager / director from a customer organization ispreferred

  • 6 or more years managing Agile development projects

  • Well versed in multiple delivery methodologies such as water-fall, Six-Sigma, Agile, Kanban, Scrum

  • Certified ScrumMaster, PMP Certification

  • Adobe Experience Cloud implementation experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $148,200 -- $247,900 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
