The Opportunity
The Analytics Product Manager is an integral part of the future success of the Creative Cloud Express business. You will be a key member of the Product Data Science team, working to define the structure and tools with which we measure and track product success. You will drive the analytics product roadmap, and define an analytics taxonomy that will allow us to best measure the customer experience consistently with metrics that are most impactful to the business. The role reports into the Director of Data Science.
Challenges
- Work with partners to develop user/use case tagging strategy to enable consistent segmentation and define practices for standardizing analytics that make sense across the entire Creative Cloud Express system
- Create requirements for event / property ingestion into our engagement tooling
- Optimize the analytics definition process and workflows for a consistent taxonomy and high integrity data (analytics registry & validator)
- Work with PM team members to define consistent analytics specifications for development team
- Identify product end to end analytics/dashboard requirements and work with data engineering to develop
- Prioritize and manage the data engineering backlog
- Partner with PM leadership to build out a feature experimentation roadmap, gradual rollouts, etc..
- Translate disparate requests into a cohesive, prioritized roadmap of high-leverage projects that define our data platform and process roadmap, and ultimately have a direct impact on the growth of CCX by scaling our data products to be more accessible, reliable, and digestible for all Adobe employees
- Work on integrating new data sources, increasing the usability of our tools through introducing new features and frameworks for data governance, and implementing new tools and platforms to ensure CCX is using the latest and greatest
- Define analytics and visualization tooling requirements and own the vendor evaluation process
- Defining quality requirements for the analytics system
- Lead all instrumentation/tagging efforts, including maintenance of event taxonomy
What we’re looking for
- Experience partnering with Product and Engineering teams to produce instrumentation requirements to generate insightful measurements on our new and existing products
- 2 years of prior experience in an Analytics role in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with a Business Intelligence tool like Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Periscope, Moe, etc
- Exceptional coding skill in SQL, familiarity with Python
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence/Analytics data modeling and visualization
- Working understanding of database and data infrastructure principles
- Demonstrated experience in converting the complex into simple, significant, and strategic product achievements
- Very data driven and have extensive experience collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and product managers
- Shown ability to influence product roadmaps and business decisions with data
- Exceptional communication skills that allow you to effectively distill highly complex data analyses for non-technical business leaders
- Reputation as a collaborative team member who can work cross-functionally, especially with product and technical leaders
- Willingness to ask the tough questions and surface the unwelcome or differing insights, and be objective in where the data leads
