ADP is hiring a Sales Proposal Consultant within its Commercial Operations Center of Excellence.
LOCATION – FLEXIBLE (NJ, Orlando or Louisville)
The primary focus of the Sales Proposal Consultant: Enhances sales performance through message and content development for highly visible and innovative sales opportunities. Enhances quality of service by building relationships with sales and other departments to have the strongest possible impact on potential clients. Contributes to the project management cycle by implementing, maintaining, and adjusting project plans to track project changes and delays. Develops in-depth, broad product knowledge and solution design by focusing on modern language and approach that explains the product to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Uses a concise writing style that focuses on the intended audience while developing responses in the appropriate medium to meet sales' needs. Develops and recommends enhanced and modern content for the content library. Forms effective business relationships with a variety of internal clients while providing best practice processes. Monitors and reports on interaction with response team and internal subject matter experts to escalate necessary issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide initial drafts of RFx (RFP, RFI, RFQ, etc.) responses using the designated software, including resolving issues, drafting executive summaries, customizing responses, creating modern content, customizing existing content.
- Manage ongoing version control, generating additional drafts of RFx responses by merging information delivered by Operations and Sales.
- Develop customized executive summaries and cover letters.
- Provide final edit by reviewing completed document to ensure consistency in tone/voice of response.
- Develop/Identify new/enhanced responses for the database.
- Develop/maintain good working knowledge of current service capabilities and future direction.
- Run basic reports and provide high-level analysis of RFP data, including volume, cycle times and content utilization.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, English, Business, Marketing or related field.
- 2 years' experience in technical or business writing preferred.
- 2 years' experience in sales operations or marketing operations preferred.
- Experience with RFx response software such as RFPIO, Qvidian, etc., preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Background in reporting and data analytics.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Understand and document moderately complex technical material.
- Demonstrate strong writing skills (clean, concise, accurate text).
- Balance two critical aspects of developing user information: thorough product understanding and technical expertise versus audience information needs.
- Able to focus content to the appropriate audience.
- Can manage multiple projects and delivery mediums.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Learn to use tools for project work.
- Estimate time/impacts of project tasks or changes.
- Flexible and creative.
- Ability to collaborate with others to obtain information to meet project deliverables.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
