Technical Specialist ERCES / BDA / DAS
As champion of ADT Commercial’s emerging wireless communications solutions, the Technical Specialist ERCES / BDA / DASwithin ADTC’s National Fire & Life Safety Team (NFLST) will be responsible for strategic and tactical implementation in support of a national expansion of Public Safety ERCES / BDA / DAS and Commercial DAS solution capabilities throughout the company.
This role is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager of Emergency Communications Systems with the goal to support the installation and growth of the ERCES business within the current client base and new clients.
How you will do it :
Strategically Go-to-Market : collateral generation, distribution, and GTM training to internal sales and Management personnel.
Technical training for field technicians. Business development : create and maintain relationships with OEMs, AHJs, and NAMs in the promotion of ADTC wireless solution capabilities.
Promote / advocate / evangelize ADTC’s ERCES capabilities (standalone or packaged with fire alarm systems) with AHJs, A&Es, GCs, and ECs via direct contact, webinar execution, whitepapers or other collateral creation, distribution, and promotion.
Maintain subject matter expertise via OEM / industry certifications, seminar attendance, other learning opportunities
Tactically District support : Be able to travel around the country to provide support for ERCES installations. NA & District Relationship : work collaboratively with the NAMs, Ops, PMs & salespeople to influence key revenue opportunities with our clients.
The Technical Specialist partners with Business Sales to sell Wireless Solutions for Business products and services by leveraging their strong technical skills, experience, and industry knowledge.
Technical Specialist engage in pre-sales activities by consulting on customer opportunities to gain understanding of their business, identify their business challenges, and develop solutions which meet their needs.
Operations enablement : support wireless-specific technical training for branch field technicians. Execute installation (when required), start-up and commissioning Public Safety and Commercial DAS.
Technical Specialist provides technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, as well as providing answers to customer's technical inquiries.
Coordinate work in concert with other NFLST team members.
Minimum Requirements :
- 5 years of experience in wireless systems integration and some construction field experience.
- Technical degree, or equivalent work experience in the RF field.
- Ability to understand and explain highly complex plans and specification.
- Fire alarm experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to deliver results while working in a highly independent, fast-paced and demanding team environment.
- Proficient at uncovering key issues and providing insightful, actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; effective listening and presentation skills.
