What are the responsibilities and job description for the Addictions Behavioral Health Community Based Therapist position at Adult and Child Health?
Description
Our Addictions Behavioral Health Therapist helps to support our mission and team so we can work in the most efficient and effective way. This role will assist adults who experience co-occuring substance use and mental health needs to achieve their goals for recovery. Services are provided in a multidisciplinary environment with strong supervisory and training support. This position will conduct initial assessments of clients referred and work with other members of the clinical team to develop a recovery plan.
Office hours are Monday - Friday with some limited on call, with extra compensation. You have the opportunity for full time, and/or flexible scheduling.
What You'll Do
- Provide clinical services and evidence based/best treatment to assigned caseload including, but not limited to, assessment, therapy, skills development, and case management services
- Provide crisis intervention/emergency services by assessing risk, development of safety plans, reporting of any abuse or neglect, coordinating hospitalization or any other emergency situations
- Communicate and collaborate with collateral contacts; consult with providers regarding integrated health, current function, medication related- issues, educations support, and any other care related to client/families
- Complete clinical documentation timely and accurately, maintaining ethical standards of Adult & Child
- Will provide individual and family therapy

Requirements
- 1 year of substance use treatment experience preferred
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or related behavioral health field
- Required to be License-eligible, but current license not required
- Must hold a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and provide own, insured, transportation
