Kitchen Coordinator

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Orders food for clients from a caterer daily
  • Receives food deliveries, checks the temperatures and the amount received, and documents it.
  • Maintains the food temperature as outlined in the FDA regulations, through proper storage in designated containers and in designated areas.
  • Cuts, chops, blends, and measures prepared food for distribution (no cooking required).
  • Prepares plates, bowls, cups for distribution.
  • Arranges prepared food on serving trays or in designated area for retrieval by serving staff.
  • Maintains and cleans kitchen area.
  • Ensures food/kitchen supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains cleanliness of work areas, surfaces, utensils, equipment, and dishes.
  • Adheres to all food handling and safety regulations throughout the kitchen.
  • Safely and efficiently handle and move packages within the warehouse
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Collaborates with other staff to ensure smooth operations

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service setting is preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Work hours: Monday-Friday, 6:30 am - 2:00 pm
