What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outreach Coordinator position at Adult Family Home Council?
The Adult Family Home Council’s mission is to improve the lives and well-being of vulnerable adults through the support of Adult Family Homes. The Council is seeking a motivated and positive individual to join our team for this full-time, in-office position.
Position Description: This position has been developed as a two-year project position. Success for this project will be measured in part by the growth and engagement of Council membership. The goal is to secure funding for the position to continue beyond the two-year project.
This position is responsible for
· Coordinating outreach to members, prospective members, business affiliates, and the public on the Council’s mission and activities.
· Development, review, and distribution of outreach campaigns using social media, email campaigns, the AFHC website, direct mailers, events, and other materials as needed. Campaigns include but not limited to:
- Outreach to newly licensed adult family homes
- Outreach to new Adult Faily Home Council members
- Outreach to current members and business partners
· Work with the statewide chapter system to provide support for regional activities.
· Work with technology contractors to coordinate website improvements
· Coordinate with marketing contractors to develop public campaign promoting the adult family home option
· Work with the Council’s Education & Support team to distribute and advertise educational opportunities, best practice guidance, and relevant updates to Council members and partners.
· Work with Council’s advocacy team to communicate timely and appropriate opportunities for member engagement in legislative, collective bargaining, or other regional advocacy efforts.
· Evaluate and improve current and ongoing outreach efforts
This position will provide support to other projects as needed. The position will include working independently and as part of a team. The team includes AFH Council staff, volunteers, members, and affiliate business partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach
- Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills
- Experience with traditional and digital marketing
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout/design, and professional printing/publishing skills
- Experience working with email software, websites, social media, and Microsoft Office products
- Experience with membership recruitment/organizing preferred
- Experience with adult family homes, long-term care, or other healthcare field preferred
Education/Training
- Preferred degree or college level courses in related field
- Preferred minimum of 3-5 years in communications, outreach, or similar work.
- Able to work with Microsoft Office products, and online training/meeting tools
Will also require:
- Background check
- Valid driver’s license
- Proof of vaccination against Covid-19
Compensation for this full-time position will range from $4,738to $6,750 monthly depending on experience and qualifications. Competitive benefits package includes medical, dental, paid vacation and 401K
Schedule: This position is full-time, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm in Tumwater, Washington. Some travel required.
Position will remain open until filled.
