What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at Adult Rehabilitation Center?

The Custodian performs routine and general cleaning, maintaining assigned area(s) to meet staff, clients, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities:

Clean and dust all horizontal and vertical surfaces including windows, doors, desks, shelves, intake vents, tables, chairs and cabinets
Maintain clean carpets by detailed vacuuming, spot removal and shampooing
Perform hard surface care for tile, concrete, tabletops, drinking fountains, and counters including buffing, sweeping, washing, polishing, spot removal and disinfecting.
Perform spot cleaning for walls, light switches and doors as needed
Service and sanitize restrooms by cleaning floors, bathtubs, showers, sinks, urinals, toilets and mirrors
Ensure cleanliness of kitchen counters, sinks, appliances and floors
Empty trash and recycle receptacles; replace liners as needed
Monitor and report maintenance repairs
Organize cleaning supplies
Assist with building repairs as needed, such as painting, moving furniture or plumbing
Perform other duties as assigned
