Maintenance Technician

What you will do:

Ensure all equipment and facilities are operating effectively and efficiently in order to support all operations. Make sure all equipment meets standards, codes and regulatory requirements.

• Carry out the duties in a productive manner and learn skills available through training and job shadowing. Training will be offered and is necessary to move from various levels.
• Enter work into the computer maintenance system throughout work shift and use to investigate and identify repeat repairs and previous work performed on that equipment
• Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance on all equipment and systems as necessary
• Be proficient in performing preventative and predictive maintenance with assistance
• Able to safely shut down systems and equipment
• Able to trouble shoot and assist other mechanics when performing work on systems and equipment
• Meet evaluation standards on work orders and observations by management to assess and evaluate skill level and proficiency within maintenance department
• Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting your work group or center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs
• Perform work at minimal skill levels in areas of safety, electrical, electronics, refrigeration, material handling, mechanical, welding, fire systems, domestic water/waste water (where applicable)

Basic Qualification:

High school education or equivalent

Mechanical and electrical aptitude

Preferred Qualification:

3 yrs mechanical experience

Do you have the following Skills/Abilities?

Possess good communication, verbal and written skills

Dexterity with both hands

Knowledge and understanding of schematic / blueprint documents

Ability to reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to and including 80 lbs.

Ability to work in a Freezer environment (temperature varies within each department) for long periods of time

Able to perform work in difficult body positions and environmental conditions from time to time

Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks)

Mechanics are required to supply their own tools.

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
