Account Representative Specialist
Advacare Home Services is seeking a Account Representative Specialist to join our growing team! This position will be responsibe for these essential functions:
¨ Understand and recognize information that may include TPL (third party liability). Maintain current knowledge of Medicare regulations, guidelines and criteria of third-party payers and MCOs.
¨ Make any decisions necessary to resolve problems associated with claims payment or processing based on a thorough understanding of the issue at hand, the members benefits and coverage, the status of the provider and the terms of any applicable agreement as well as company policies and procedures in effect to address said problem.
¨ Answer, resolve and document follow up on all billing inquires.
¨ A/R follow up of private pay accounts, including set up of payment plans, compassionate care status, judgements, rebilling’s and adjustments, within time frames established by procedures. Complete monthly analysis of assigned carrier type(s).
¨ Maintain Patient pay collection program up to date
¨ Follow up with patients on insurance changes and update billing software
¨ Referring patient accounts to the collection agency
¨ Daily denials and A/R aging follow-up completed within required time frames with follow-up resulting in payment.
¨ Communicate with General Manager regarding problems, concerns, and suggestions that impact the operation of the department.
¨ Answers telephone and questions relating to billing questions
¨ Establishes and maintains patient files according to policy and procedure
¨ Understands that they are accountable for their performance of their job
responsibilities and are compliant with the laws and regulations presented
The ideal candidate will have a flair for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
