Job Description Summary: Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies. Documents system requirements, defines scope and objectives, and assists in the creation of system specifications that drive system development and implementation. Incumbents function as a liaison between IT and users and have both business and technical expertise. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES may include, but are not limited to the following: (other duties may be assigned) Work with the project sponsor to document the product projects vision and the project scope. Identify project stakeholders and user classes. Document user class characteristics. Identify appropriate representatives for each user class and negotiate their responsibilities. Elicit and document requirements using various applicable tools and methodologies. Write clear and unambiguous requirements specifications according to standard templates. Decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements and quality requirements, specified in an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by those must base their work on the requirements. Define quality attributes, external interfaces, constraints, system technical requirements, and other nonfunctional requirements. Lead requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, feasible, traceable, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standards. Participate in requirements prioritization. Participate in peer reviews and inspections of requirements documents and of work products derived from requirements specifications to ensure that the requirements were interpreted correctly. Manipulate requirements stored in the IT standard requirements management tool. Manage requirements traceability information and track requirements status throughout the project. Manage changes to baselined requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools. Implement ways to reuse requirements across projects. Effectively utilize the AAPs standard requirements process. Ensure requirements are in line with the business vision and the solution meets the requirements. Mentor business partners and IT team in requirements processes Maintain a working knowledge of the business area. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelors Degree or equivalent in relevant field required. 1 to 2 years experience preferred.
