What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Advance Housing, Inc?
Specific Job Responsibilities:
1. Prepares monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
2. Prepares certain monthly journal entries for certain Agency’s accruals.
3. Reconciles bank accounts and performs daily and monthly analysis related to cash balances.
4. Performs allocation procedures in accordance with Agency and funding sources procedures to ensure the accurate distribution to general ledger expense accounts.
5. Reconciles and records biweekly payroll activity. Reconciles to month end and year- end reports.
6. Responsible for Special Needs Trust accounts, including payment of invoices and month-end and year-end reporting.
7. Responsible for the accounting activity of Property Management
8. Grant Experience
9. Performs other duties as necessary.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in an accounting field.
Prior experience in nonprofit organizations, as well as advance accounting preferable. Knowledge Microsoft Excel and Word preferred.
Licensure: Must possess a valid Driver’s License
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $47,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
