A great position for someone looking to build a career with a leading employer in the Peru, IL area! This is a great position! Communication and attention to detail is key! Working together in a team environment to help produce structural bolts and nuts for the area’s leading manufacture. Set up of equipment for Heat Treat Department. Good mechanical aptitude in order to effectively use the tap grinder. Change various worn or damaged tooling. Record tool life. Verify product quality in accordance to the in-process quality procedures. Perform preventative maintenance/repairs to furnaces and other equipment. May have to train new operators. Perform daily inspections & calibrations. Sort nonconforming product. Operate production equipment, fork trucks and overhead cranes. While working you will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and chemicals.
