What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Specialist position at ADVANCE?
Advance Opportunities has been providing quality vocational training, socialization and employment opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1963.
We are adding a new HR Specialist to staff. This position is full time, Mon-Fri.
Major area of responsible will include:
- Recruitment and staffing and applicant tracking
- Onboarding and orientation of new employees, processing new hire paperwork
- Training, performance management, coaching supervisor/managers on performance management
- Fostering the company’s culture, promoting effective and positive employee communication
- Works toward and leads efforts in HR best practices for employee safety, welfare, wellness, reporting and employee services
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years HR experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft suite of programs, including Excel and database management
- Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization with a positive and solutions-focused attitude
- AA/BA in human resources or related field preferred
