Job Posting for Engineering Technician at Advanced Airfoil Components LLC
The Engineering Technician will provide support to the Engineering team according to the responsibilities listed
below. Of primary focus will be the development of advanced core and casting manufacturing processes. The position reports to the Engineering Manager. Work may include working with hand tools, manual and/or electronic testing/measuring devices, and moving fixtures and materials up to 50 lbs.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility area is advanced core and casting process development
Contributes to process/product innovation and development by executing trials developed with engineering
Assists engineers with analysis of trial results, including measurement of materials and/or parts
Analyzes and assesses manufacturing feasibility of development plans, providing critical feedback and improvement suggestions
Assists in technical problem solving/troubleshooting
Provides support in process documentation (new issue & review/updates of existing process instructions)
May provide oversight and direction of Manufacturing Technicians to ensure adherence to established procedures and advise management of department needs and deficiencies
May be required to accept and respond to communications and requests from downstream departments
Perform ongoing care and maintenance of machinery and report safety concerns as necessary
GENERNAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to interpret and maintain work instructions
Must be able to follow direction from engineers, and to be a team-player
Excellent communication skills required
Use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required
Education:
Associates degree or vocational technical training preferred
HS diploma or equivalent required
Specialized skill training/certification a plus
Knowledge & Experience:
1-2 years’ experience in a ceramics, casting, or injection molding role preferred
Key Working Relationships:
Contacts are primarily with immediate manager and others in the group.
