Quality Technician Team Lead
SUMMARY
Responsibilities for this position include directing Quality Technicians in support of Quality Engineers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead and facilitate customer sourcing of parts for shipment
- Operate and collaborate as a team member with manufacturing and engineering
- Work with Quality Engineers to prepare customer presentations and paperwork.
- Assure parts are shipment ready by performing a visual over-inspect, FOD check and proper documentation review.
- Initiate re-work as needed and track FPY with failures documented per frequency and cause (out of move to final and final operations).
- Work with NDT personnel to maintain consistent and reliable inspections.
- Coordinate internal and external source audits and track findings for each.
- Other duties assigned by quality.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Technical degree 2 or 4 years, preferred
- At least 3 years’ relevant work experience
- Strong communication skills a must-written and verbal
- Ability to multitask is a must
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel and Word
- Must be very detail oriented
- Ability to operate under pressure while remaining professionally moral and ethical
- Preferred manufacturing skill sets: 1-2 years quality experience. Strong attention to detail. NDT Level 1 or 2 certifications in VT, PT, UTT and/or RT preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business GSP’s or IMRS and customer flow down. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme heat and vibration. While exposure to radiation is possible, it is highly unlikely. The noise level in the work environment varies greatly from very quiet to loud.
