Job Summary

ABS is looking for an experienced Sheetmetal VDC Coordinator to help facilitate trade specific content population, coordination, and the creation of shop drawings through project completion.


Essential Job Duties

  • BIM modeling of Sheetmetal systems.
  • Work under the direction of a VDC Manager for essential duties for project success.
  • Collaborate and Coordinate with other trades by attending VDC coordination meetings.
  • Understand BIM scope of work.
  • Prepare Sheetmetal model content for VDC coordination meetings.
  • Creation of shop drawings to provide to the field.
  • Maintain a high level of verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understand single line diagrams and Sheetmetal drawings.
  • Coordinate with point cloud files.
  • Prepares reports to capture details discussed in meetings.
  • Work with the Superintendents and Field personnel to understand installation means and methods.
  • Provide top service to our clients with consistent and concise communication.


Required Requirements

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Navisworks, Autodesk BIM 360, and Revit.
  • Minimum five years of Sheetmetal design and/or installation experience.
  • Knowledge of construction industry, methods and means.
  • Ability to understand design and document coordination.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as, within a group setting.
