What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Service Representative position at Advanced Bone & Joint?
Perform duties of Guest Services. Provides the first impression for patients arriving for appointments. Responsible for accurate collection of demographic data, collection of co-payments and patient-responsible balances, as well as entry of patient information into the EMR system
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum high school diploma
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong oral and written communication skills directed to patients, staff, doctors, and ABJ team members.
- At least two years of relevant experience in a medical office setting
- Working knowledge of Windows-based computer applications
- Familiarity with health insurance plans
- Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications
- Knowledge of practice management and word processing software
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor
- Neat, professional appearance
