Overview
The IT Manager is responsible for the oversight and upkeep of the organization’s IT assets, systems, and process. The primary role of the IT Manager is to lead the IT Department by developing, installing, maintaining, and overseeing IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage multiple projects, excellent communication skills, and will be able to plan and design technologies to meet the growing needs of the business.
Responsibilities
- Manage overall IT infrastructure including but not limited to Network Management, Information Security, User Provisioning, Help Desk, and Asset Management.
- Research, procure and install IT equipment based on business needs.
- Lead overall enterprise software and infrastructure deployment and maintenance including Office365 and cloud-based servers.
- Assesses information systems results by auditing their application and results.
- Manage, track, research, communicate and resolve incoming IT service requests from end users in a professional, timely, and accurate manner.
- Implement new processes and systems to enhance automation and operational efficiencies.
- Protect system information by preparing and testing disaster recovery procedures.
- Manage the selection, development, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and enhancement of the organization's security technologies, policies, procedures, standards, and architecture.
- Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential and ensuring all systems, data, and backups are secure against outside intrusion or unauthorized access.
- Lead the design and operation of related compliance monitoring and improvement activities to ensure compliance both with internal security policies and applicable laws and regulations.
- Perform and participate in IT audits. Implement processes and methods for auditing and addressing non-compliance to information security standards.
- Participate and cooperate with information security incident investigations.
- Prepare and implement IT policies and reference training materials for users.
- Maintain vendor relationships to identify and purchase appropriate solutions and services.
- Travels occasionally to company locations for systems set up and training.
- Work with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university in a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of IT management experience; 2 years of Help Desk Support experience
- Must have expert knowledge in setting up and managing Windows Servers, Microsoft 365, and various cloud storage solutions
- Must have extensive knowledge and experience with IT security
- Experienced with asset management, backup and disaster recovery
- Able to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
