SUMMARY*
*We are an established Post Facility that’s looking for an experienced Online/Finishing Editor with a successful portfolio to join our editorial team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for detail and customer service to meet the needs of our growing client base.

We are looking for someone with a friendly attitude and a thorough knowledge of the broadcast television post-production process that can work independently and, in a client, supervised environment. The candidate must demonstrate strong customer service skills, be an excellent performer, exhibit superior written and oral communication capabilities, and consistently deliver high quality results. This person will demonstrate a high level of professionalism to warrant the confidence of our clients and colleagues.*
*Responsibilities:
- Must be punctual and reliable both in attendance and in meeting deadlines.
- Display a strong professional appearance and customer service skillset daily.
- Possess strong project management skills and the ability to be flexible as needed.
- Take ownership of all assigned projects from initial customer contact to final delivery.
- Ensure all deliverables are accurate and adhere to network guidelines.
- Work in tandem with management, all editors, colorists, sound mixers and engineering to develop workflows that best meet the client’s needs and company objectives.
- Work independently, manage simultaneous projects, and follow through on assignments.
- Keep abreast of technology and workflows to create accurate and efficient results in current and future assignments.
- Identify problems, recommend solutions and/or resolve operational errors and equipment failures.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience with Mac and PC based Avid Media Composer non-linear editing systems.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience finishing shows for final network delivery.
- Thorough knowledge of the technical aspects of post-production.
- Ability to color correct, mix audio, create graphics and effects as needed.
- Base knowledge and skills with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premier Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder, and Photoshop, and at least a passing acquaintance with or a willingness to learn DaVinci Resolve.
- Comprehensive understanding of editing file structures, broadcast measurements, and A/V formats.
- Familiarity with various camera post workflows including but not limited to RED, Arri, Canon, and Sony.
- Proficiency in file compression.
- Experience in tape and file-based delivery.
- Conduct an advanced level of quality control and take corrective actions to ensure and/or enhance programming.
- Working knowledge of HD, UHD/HDR, 4k broadcasting standards.
- Candidates must have good computer background (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and solid communication skills.
