We also believe in creating a circular economy and are the largest plastic recycling company in North America. We use plastic shampoo and detergent bottles to create pipe, diverting over 500 million pounds of plastic from landfills every year. Responsibilities

As the Manager for Data Platform & Governance, you will own the strategy and roadmap for providing a data platform that powers ADS’ business insights, analytics, reporting, and data applications across the company.

This position requires you to be a self-starter with the ability to take ownership, work with tight timelines, handle various tasks simultaneously while continuing to develop a positive work culture. In addition, great oral communication and written documentation skills are critical for this role. Here’s a look into what you’ll be doing in this role:

• Own the strategic direction and creation of the data platform roadmap, with key initiatives possibly including:
• Powering company-wide data infrastructure to unlock faster and easier value-add data for teams.
• Successfully deliver data governance and data quality projects/programs to drive data literacy
• Serve as a key strategist for improved data quality practices across the customer solutions organization and leverage that passion to mobilize teams delivering tangible value
• Own and enhance data tooling around data science, storage, transformation, analysis, sharing, and reporting.
• Represent the team as the main interface for collaboration with internal business partners and actively engage with them to ensure delivery is aligned with business needs and the product vision.
• Maintain close partnership with the data science and business intelligence teams.
• Lead the development of data centric toolchains that enable both technical and nontechnical people to access, visualize, and leverage insights from complex datasets.
• Define and standardize Key Performance Indicators that will help aid in the decision-making process and showcase results.
• Manage the product backlog to ensure the highest business value is being delivered to our customers.
• Author technical feature requirements in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria for varying business use cases.
• Produce and lead go-live release communications that inform a diverse set of partners and/or users of new features and/or changes.
• Present roadmaps, complex ideas and features to a broad audience effectively.

The person in this role should possess the following skills/knowledge:

• Highly skilled in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau etc.) required.
• Experience and foundational knowledge in data warehouse/lake/lake house, and various cloud-based analytics platforms (I.e., Azure Stack) required.
• Demonstrated functional understanding of key processes creating or consuming data and the ability to determine the interrelationships and usage across the enterprise required.
• Expertise in data governance best practices required.
• Ability to think strategically while operating tactically to implement data standards and technical/process solutions required.
• Experience with ERP implementations, data mapping, cleansing, and migration management required.
