Our growing company is hiring a Shop Clerk that assists the Operations Manager and supports the company’s service initiatives. Job Summary
The Shop Clerk is responsible for inventory control of parts, supplies and tools in the AES shop and AES service vehicles. The Shop Clerk will generate purchase requisitions in order to maintain the appropriate inventory levels. This position is also responsible for maintenance and record keeping for all AES fleet vehicles. Job duties require independent judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Core Duties and Functions

  • Shipping and Receiving
  • Staging parts and supplies for field service techs and company trucks and vans
  • Keeps shop clean and orderly, follows all safety protocols
  • Responsible for organizing and tracking inventory
  • Maintaining the service fleet and facility, including lifting and safety equipment
  • Assist service department with takeoffs and quotes, with customer follow-up
  • Accessible via company-provided cell phone for after hours support to field service techs

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Not a remote work position

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-2 years relevant experience required
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Warehouse and inventory experience preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to learn company-specific software.
  • Ability to learn: Welding skills (arc/mig), assembly, electrical, and hydraulic skills
  • Ability to handle Forklift equipment operation
  • Ability to travel on ladders and man-lifts to work at elevated heights
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work independently, and proceeds with objectives without supervision
  • Ability to work overtime as required on a daily basis if needed, with weekend overtime required

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $21.00 – $26.00 per hour
