What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant -with some Receptionist duties ( 4-5 days/week) position at Advanced Foot & Ankle Specialists?
Energetic Medical Assistant needed 4-5 days per week to join our busy Podiatry (Foot Care) practice with locations in Toms River and Manchester/Whiting.
- Responsibilities include:
- As a Medical Assistant - efficiently readying the patients for treatment, assisting patients with shoes on/off, communicating instructions to patients, EMR data entry, processing laboratory specimens, assisting with minor procedures, dressing wounds, sterilizing instruments, fitting diabetic shoes, performing robotic laser treatments, performing vascular exams, stocking rooms.
- As a Medical Receptionist (once trained as an MA) - answering phones, scheduling appointments, confirming appointments contacting insurance companies, contacting pharmacies as necessary.
Applicants need to be friendly, reliable, honest, hard-working, and exhibit great attention to detail.
Certification is not mandatory. Training provided.
Hours are flexible if you need - typically 8am to 3pm; no evenings or weekends. Time off is never a problem for the office.
Salary commensurate with experience.
401(k), Paid vacation and personal time off after 1 year of FT employment.
