Job Summary:

We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced Supplier Development Manager to assist AGSE in developing and maintaining strong relationships with global suppliers for electromechanical equipment and parts, delivered on-time and within budget. Job responsibilities include:

  • Performing supplier assessments and selection.
  • Obtaining and analyzing quotes with detailed assessment of cost breakdowns and deliveries.
  • Selecting most competitive supplier proposal based on price, quality, and delivery using analysis tools.
  • Leading weekly delivery status meetings with key suppliers.
  • Improving supplier performance by assisting in supplier training and development.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday - 7:30am to 4:30pm

Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, supply chain or related experience: 5 years (Preferred)

JOB SUMMARY

As the Supplier Development Manager, you will lead AGSE’s strategic sourcing processes including selecting and managing global suppliers of complex aerospace engine tooling and post-sale repair services to maximize key performance metrics - OTD, quality, and cost.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The primary responsibilities of the Supplier Development Manager include:
  • Identifying, evaluating, developing, and managing global suppliers.
  • Obtaining and evaluating competitive supplier proposals based on price, quality, and delivery using mathematical and financial analysis tools.
  • Leading continuous improvement activities, root cause analysis, and corrective actions with suppliers to improve performance.
  • Working with all departments to resolve non-conformities and to ensure compliance with all customer requirements and contracts.
  • Improving supplier performance by assisting in supplier training and participating in supplier cost reduction projects to achieve cost and delivery targets.

Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Distributing monthly supplier performance (KPI) reports
  • Maintaining Approved Supplier Listing (ASL) list.
  • Following all processes and procedures to maintain ISO certifications.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required.
  • Ability to follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, supply chain or related discipline with a minimum of 5-years proven experience in supplier quality or sourcing of highly engineered electromechanical tools and/or equipment.

2. Possesses working knowledge of purchasing and supply-chain management methodologies with strong negotiation skills.

3. Willing to perform on-site supplier evaluations and audits in Europe, India, Southeast Asia.

4. Ability to travel 30% of time to global suppliers and represent AGSE in a professional manner and perform activities listed above.

5. Proficiency in Microsoft word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

6. Experience with supplier surveillance and auditing.

7. Experience/familiarity with ISO9001:2015 certification.

8. Working knowledge of special manufacturing processes and methods including machining and welding of complex metals parts.

9. Ability to read and understand blueprints.

10. Knowledge of geometric symbols, technical drawings and understanding of GD&T principles.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift twenty-five pounds.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
