We are looking for a full time Accounting Specialist to join our team. In this role you will assist with all aspects of accounting, with opportunity for growth and advancement within the team. This position will be a backup for all areas of accounting to fill in when needed.


Some Key Job Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Perform daily/monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Assist with weekly processing of payroll, to include daily time reconciliation and contacting employees/managers to ensure all employees are correctly paid.
  • Assist with job costing including preparing and sending invoices.
  • E-file all related accounting reports and documents
  • Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices.
  • Process yearly 1099s
  • Participate in audits
  • Experience with prevailing wage payrolls and reporting a plus
  • Various accounting duties as assigned


Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting, and an associates degree in accounting preferred
  • Strong MS Office with a proficiency with Excel
  • Must be able to work independently with little direction and within a team
  • Ability to work under pressure, react appropriately under constantly changing priorities with numerous interruptions.
  • Ability to utilize time management, work under a tight schedule and meet timing deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills along with maintaining a high attention to detail – including data entry and reviewing documents
  • Deadline driven with excellent time management ability
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and must display sensitivity to confidential matters.
  • Experience with a construction company is a plus
  • Must have the ability for clear and concise verbal and written communication
  • Strong communication skills and be able to interact with employees, customers, and vendors at various levels
  • Experience with Paycom and/or Sage 100 (Formally Mas 100) a plus
