Primary Work Location: TDY – Short Term – OCONUS & CONUS

The Audio-Visual Teleconferencing Technician Junior will assist in setting up, testing, assessing, operating and repairing equipment. This position is contingent upon contract award. This position is a short-term hire anywhere from 30 to 120 days and is on a 100% TDY basis.
Responsibilities / Duties
- Maintain, operate, and administer video conferencing and associated technologies in corporate and live broadcast environments.
- Able to operate a multitude of video conferencing technologies to include enterprise grade infrastructure as well as software-based products (Zoom, MS Teams, Webex, Cisco/Polycom Telepresence, etc.).
- Perform installation tasks for audio visual projects including but not limited to pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting TVs, projectors, speakers, configuring equipment Commissioning of AV systems.
- Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
- Document, maintain, support, and repair systems, distributed audio/video solutions, control systems, video conferencing systems, and other electronic system integration solutions based on blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans.
- Operate and test equipment to ensure elimination of malfunctions.
- Load and test the functionality of programs.
- Comply with company and industry standards, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in Job site cleanup and perform site Quality Control.
- Always maintain a clean work area.
- Hardware lifecycle management of video conferencing and audio-visual components.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 2 Years’ experience in the installation of AV systems, termination, testing and troubleshooting.
- In-depth knowledge of sound, video, and lighting equipment.
- Familiarity with computers and IP Networking Systems.
- Ability to set up, test calibrate, and commission AV equipment and devices as required to produce fully functional systems.
- Understanding of signal flow control circuit, and AV and IT systems designs for in-office and site installation.
- Should have knowledge of Industry guidelines (BICSI/AVIXA/CEDIA) for proper cable installation and termination procedures.
- Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Experience in crimping connectors.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Polycom & Cisco video conference installation experience
- Audio DSP Installation and commissioning experience.
- US Citizen.
- Must have unexpired US Passport valid for a minimum of 2 more years.
- Must have a current DoD Secret Clearance
- BICSI Certification
- AVIXA Certification
Physical Demands
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
- Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally and walk short distances.
- Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Lift and climb ladders to install, disconnect or repair necessary equipment.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading.
- Able to travel on long flights.
