Job Description
Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a Cutting Technician for a furniture manufacturing company in High Point. Candidate should have atleast 2 years of experience, preferably using a Lectra Q25 cutting machine.
1st shift 7am-3 : 30pm M-F
Pay $16-21 / hour
Temp to Hire
Experience :
2 years experience in the furniture industry, cutting fabric.
Computer / Technical knowlesge required (Windows, Excel, PDF, Outlook)
Experience with CAD files is a plus.
If you've worked with Gerber or Lectra cutters, this would be a great fit for you!
RESPONSBIBILITIES
- Pick the fabric rolls for cutting proposes
- Inspect material for defects prior to cutting
- Cut layers of fabric for multilayers cutting
- Feed the cutting machine with the layers
- Select the correct placement files in the machine software
- Unload the cutting machine
- Bundle the cut pieces for sewers
- Mark for defects, place and cut leather hives manually
- Setting up and shutting down the cutting machine
- Supports and assists sewers whenever necessary
- Inspect quality from domestic suppliers
- Basic maintenance upkeep of the cutting machine
- Assisting with Inventory
- Follow directives as given by the Production Supervisor
