Key Responsibilities
The Service Helper is responsible for assisting in locating leaks and performing professional quality roof repairs in a safe and timely manner, while treating customers and fellow employees with courtesy and respect. Job duties also include the completion of defined scope projects and preventative maintenance activities.
- Responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of all company issued equipment such as: vehicles, power tools, phones, hand tools, etc.
- Maintain trucks to ensure they are always stocked and cleaned inside and out
- Utilize industry standard manufacturer approved repair techniques
- Complete daily assignments in a timely manner with completion of proper paperwork
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
Education
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, not required
Experience
- 2 years commercial roofing service technician experience preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to withstand demands of extreme weather conditions and high temperatures
- Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft tall
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
- Capable of bending over most of the day and working on knees excessively throughout the day
- Able to pass Pre-Employment Drug and Agility screening
- Able to pass a government background check per project requirements
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
- Knowledge of basic roofing tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Working Conditions | Environment | Special Requirements
- Full time onsite
- Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, State and Federal regulations.
