Advanced Systems Design is seeking a(n) Programmer Analyst for our client located in Montgomery, Alabama. Please note: Remote work is not considered or negotiated.
Responsibilities
• Works in DevOps team to develop and maintain applications, source code, and projects
• Works with organization’s functional staff, divisions, sections, and contractors to develop custom and complex application solutions
• Works in continuous improvement and continuous delivery (CI/CD) workflow or software development Lifecycles (SDLC)
• Provides break/fix support
• Provides unit testing and debug
• Operates as a Support Desk agent to receive and resolve tasks assignments
Requirements
• Serves as the application developer on an application development team
• Manages code source using Azure DevOps with Git repository and support for task integrations in service desk
• Coordinate with IT managers and customers to deliver solutions and services
• Work in software development lifecycle (SDLC) to perform analysis, design, build, test, and release processes
• Maintain a solution repository and code source
• Maintain systems and end-user documentation
• Mindful of continuous improvement, compliance, and security
• Focused on customer satisfaction
Skills Required
• Proficient with Visual Studio
• Proficient with Microsoft DevOps, Git, and cloud provider services
• Proficient in Visual Studios used with HTML, .NET, MVC and other common scripting languages
• Proficient with Microsoft SQL, database management, and SSIS (integration services)
Skills Preferred
• Highly self-motivated and self-starter
• Familiar with IT Service Management processes including Change Management, Asset Management, and ticketing processes
• Preference to be hired as a merit state employee upon demonstrated ability
Experience Required
Minimum five years of experience in computer programming utilizing high level languages to manipulate databases or files and produce outputs and reports, including two (2) years of experience in system analysis, defining system requirements, writing system specifications, and designing computer systems. (Additional Education and/or Experience above that which is minimally required, may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.)
Education Required
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science, Math, Information Technology, or a related field, including 2 courses in programming. (* Additional Education and/or Experience above that which is minimally required, may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.)
