Responsibilities

SUMMARY

Assists the Programming Department in the development and maintenance of new and existing software to meet the stakeholders’ requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assists in the design, analysis and encoding systems as directed.
• Assists in making modifications and maintenance of new and existing programs based on stakeholder requirements.
• Responsible for programming quality assurance including, investigating programing errors, assists in defining problems, debugs programs and tests results.
• Responsible for testing system corrections, updates and enhancements within the allowable time frames as established by stakeholders.
• Assists in determining project scope and establishing programming requirements and setting reasonable timelines to meet stakeholder requirements.
• Ensures proper programming documentation is maintained including detailed logic and flowchart schematics, workflow diagrams, change management and version control.
• Assists users in solving routine and complex system problems.
• Communicates the status of projects to all stakeholders including management/supervisor.
• Performs and assumes other duties as required at the direction of the immediate supervisor.
• Maintain a positive and caring atmosphere for members and employees consistent with the Credit Union's mission and philosophy.
• Responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of computer equipment and software required to perform the duties of the position.

The salary range for this position is $72,000-$90,000/yr. and is based on experience. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or closely related field from a four-year college or university plus three (3) to five (5) years of work experience in software development and development life cycle.  Must have on the job experience in the following areas:  Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL); .Net Visual Studio (primarily C#), ASP.NET Core MVC (Web Forms and MVC), jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, XML, JSON, and Javascript.  Other desired experience: Entity Framework, Ajax, Document Object Model (DOM), DHTML, XSLT, Web services, SOAP, and Angular JS.  Must understand relational database concepts. Familiarity with Angular/Angular JS and TFS (Team Foundation Server) is a plus.
