We are currently seeking a full time Typist/Secretary. Applicants need to be professional and detail oriented. We are looking for a self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills. Great customer service skills are a must.
You must have knowledge of equipment; phone, computers - including software (Microsoft Word & Excel), copier, all files and calculators. You must be able to be trained in title insurance programs with ease. The job entails a lot of typing, must be efficient in Microsoft Word.
Once trained you will have basic knowledge of Abstracts and Title policies, Final Policies. You will need to respond to verbal inquiries on abstracts, title policies, billing, searches and/or requests. If you have previous knowledge of the above that would be a plus.
You will order, track and dispersing: Town/County tax searches, Water rent searches, Village tax searches, City tax searches, Bankruptcy searches, Franchise tax search, Certificate of Good Standing, and UCC searches.
The employee will maintain an exemplary professional image and responds accordingly with all incoming calls.
Pay attention to accuracy and details are a must.
All other “office” duties such as typing, copying, filing, answer phones, taking messages, scheduling closings, pulling files, etc.
